With engines roaring and adrenaline surging, a new era in Philippine motorsports begins as 15-year-old Alfonsi Daquigan—Rider No. 51—takes his place on the grid in the prestigious European Talent Cup (ETC). Representing the Honda Philippines Junior Talent Team under the Honda Asia Dream Racing junior program, Alfonsi isn’t just chasing podiums—he’s racing for pride, passion, and the future of Filipino motorsport.
At just 15, Alfonsi is already showing young riders across the Philippines that the dream of going from local circuits to international competition is not only possible—it’s within reach. Every time he leans into a corner or accelerates down a straightaway, he carries with him the aspirations of a nation that dares to dream big.

In his ETC debut, Alfonsi showcased a blend of skill and composure well beyond his years. From smooth cornering and calculated overtakes to a calm presence under pressure, he went head-to-head with 55 of the best junior riders from across Asia and Europe. Starting 19th on the grid, he finished 20th in Race 1 and bounced back with an impressive 11th place in Race 2—securing 17th in the overall standings for the round.
“This journey isn’t just mine—it belongs to every Filipino rider who dreams big,” Alfonsi shared. “I’m here because of years of hard work, sacrifice, and the support of my family, coaches, and Honda. I’m racing to make my country proud.”
More than just results, Alfonsi’s rise is powered by countless early mornings, relentless practice laps, quiet discipline, and unwavering humility. He’s not only emerging as a racing talent to watch—but as an inspiration to the next generation.

Supported by Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) and developed through the Honda Junior Talent Program, Alfonsi’s journey is proof of how Filipino grit, determination, and raw talent can thrive on the international stage.
Whether on the track or off it, Alfonsi Daquigan is fast becoming a symbol of hope for aspiring riders across the country.
