AIA Philippines and BPI AIA have once again secured their place among the country’s top-performing institutions in ethical business leadership after earning new distinctions at the 2025 Golden Arrow Awards.
The recognition marks AIA Philippines’ eighth straight year of excellence and BPI AIA’s sixth consecutive accolade, reinforcing their reputation as two of the Philippine financial sector’s most trusted and well-governed companies.
“We are proud to once again be recognized by the Institute of Corporate Directors,” said Melita Teo, Chief Executive Officer of AIA Philippines. “Earning another Golden Arrow distinction reaffirms that strong governance remains at the core of how we operate and how we protect the trust of our customers, partners, and stakeholders.”
AIA Philippines received a Two-Arrow recognition this year, while BPI AIA achieved the higher Three-Arrow distinction—both reflecting their sustained commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible corporate stewardship.
These achievements come at a time when Filipinos increasingly demand stronger governance standards from financial and insurance providers, and as the Philippines pushes to elevate its standing in ASEAN corporate governance rankings.
The Golden Arrow Award is presented to organizations that score at least 80 points in the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS), which benchmarks companies against stringent local and global standards.
Criteria cover shareholder protection, equitable treatment, disclosure practices, board responsibilities, and overall stakeholder engagement—areas where both AIA Philippines and BPI AIA continue to demonstrate industry-leading performance.
Both AIA Philippines and BPI AIA continue to enhance their governance systems, expanding board oversight, strengthening compliance and risk management frameworks, and deepening their sustainability practices. These efforts remain aligned with AIA’s overarching purpose: helping Filipinos live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives while ensuring long-term value creation for all stakeholders.
