Ai-Ai delas Alas seems to still be grappling with her breakup from her ex-husband, Gerald Sibayan. Recently, the comedienne made a pointed remark on social media, hinting at her ex with a cryptic post. She sarcastically commented on a “cheater” buying an engagement ring, implying that it was odd given that he hadn’t yet divorced his wife.
“Si cheater bumili ng ring? Ay wow, pang-engaged na? Huh? Divorce na ba sila ni wifey? Nyek! Hindi pa ano! (Did the cheater buy a ring? Oh wow, is it for an engagement? Huh? Are they divorced already? Pfft! Not yet, huh!)” Ai-Ai wrote, suggesting the situation was questionable. She added, “Sabi ng mga soldiers… Sana ALL... pagkakasyahin ko sa leeg niya (The soldiers said… I wish I could fit it around his neck),” further hinting at her frustration.
This isn’t the first time Ai-Ai has subtly thrown shade at her ex. A couple of weeks ago, she posted about a “cheater” allegedly involved with a Filipina mistress. She shared, “Hahaha ang Balita nga naman kahit akoy nanahimik bongga!! Take note si mistress ay PILIPINA (The news is really something, even though I’ve been quiet! Take note, the mistress is Filipina),” noting the mistress’ nationality.
Ai-Ai also disclosed that she had seen her husband and his alleged mistress together in public, including at a US branch of Gerry’s Grill, where the woman’s head was seen leaning on her ex-husband’s shoulder, and at a Jollibee, where they were spotted walking hand in hand. “Lalakas ng loob ahhh puro Filipino establishments at California IDOL!!! GOAT! (How bold they are, always at Filipino establishments and California),” Ai Ai wrote, calling out the audacity of the pair.
Back in November, Ai-Ai confirmed the rumors that she and her husband had broken up, marking a painful chapter in her personal life.
