A Cup of Holiday Calm: CHAGEE and Hello Kitty Team Up for a Cozy Cocoa Collaboration

As the December rush reaches its peak, CHAGEE Philippines is offering a reason to slow down with its latest holiday collaboration. Partnering with Sanrio, the premium tea brand has introduced a seasonal Cocoa Oolong Milk Tea alongside a collection of limited-edition Hello Kitty merchandise, designed to bring a sense of warmth and comfort to the year-end festivities.

The centerpiece of the collaboration is a thoughtful blend of flavors. The Cocoa Oolong Milk Tea uses premium roasted oolong tea from China’s UNESCO-listed Wuyi Mountains, known for its delicate floral and honeyed notes. This is paired with rich cocoa sourced from Côte d’Ivoire’s Gold Belt. Unlike many decadent holiday treats, the drink is crafted for a smooth, approachable finish, balancing the subtle bitterness of the tea with the softness of cocoa.

A Sun-Kissed Icon

For this campaign, CHAGEE features “Tanned Hello Kitty,” a sun-kissed version of the beloved character popular across the Asia-Pacific. Moving away from her signature bright pinks, this iteration uses muted, cocoa-inspired tones that align with the brand’s “low-pressure” holiday aesthetic.

“The holidays are a reminder that connection is one of the most precious things we have,” said Eugene Lee, Chief Marketing Officer of CHAGEE APAC. “With this collaboration, we wanted to create something that feels as comforting and familiar as meaningful relationships.”

Limited-Edition Collectibles

Fans can take home a piece of the collaboration through several holiday bundles. The exclusive merchandise includes:

  • The Snuggle Snap: A plush hair clip.
  • The Cuddle Sling: A small crossbody bag.
  • Plushie and Mini Charms: Perfect for bag accessories or casual gifts.

In the Philippines, the Cocoa Oolong Milk Tea is available in regular (PHP 159) and large (PHP 175) sizes, served in festive limited-edition cups. Bundles started rolling out on December 12, with additional plushie charms becoming available on December 19.

Experiential Pop-Up

To further celebrate the season, CHAGEE hosted the “CHAGEE Loves Hello Kitty” pop-up at the Trinoma Activity Center from December 19 to 21. The space was designed to be an interactive “holiday home,” featuring DIY ornament stations, photo corners, and tea tastings, inviting visitors to linger and enjoy the moment rather than rush through the shopping mall crowds.

While the year-end often feels like a race to the finish line, this collaboration serves as a quiet reminder to pause. Whether enjoyed during a busy day of errands or a quiet evening walk, CHAGEE’s latest offering is a simple, ephemeral way to embrace the warmth of the season.
