A family of five was killed in a road accident when the motorcycle they were riding collided head-on with a delivery truck in Misamis Oriental, according to local police on Saturday.
P/Cpl. Ricky Alagon, chief traffic investigator of the Initao Municipal Police, said the collision occurred on the highway in Barangay Gimangpang in Initao town on Friday afternoon.
All five victims, the couple and their three kids, died at the scene due to severe injuries, the police said.
The police detained the truck driver as the investigation into the cause of the fatal collision continued.
