Beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) are encouraged to register for the Enhanced Lifeline Program (ELP) of Maynilad and Manila Water to enjoy discounted rates amid rising water consumption ahead of the holiday season.
“Dahil inaasahan po na magtataas ang konsumo sa mga water at electric utilities lalo na ngayong parating na holiday season, hinihikayat po namin ang mga 4Ps beneficiaries na mag-register at mag-avail sa lifeline rate program ng Maynilad and Manila Water,” Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) spokesperson Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao said Wednesday.
The subsidized rates are available only to low-income households consuming 10 cubic meters or less per month. To avail, beneficiaries must present their 4Ps ID, a valid government-issued ID with signature and address, a completed application form, and the most recent proof of billing at any Maynilad or Manila Water helpdesk or business area office.
Non-4Ps households living below the poverty threshold set by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in 2023 are also eligible if they have certification from their Local Social Welfare and Development Office (LSWDO).
Launched in 2008 and institutionalized under Republic Act No. 11310, 4Ps is the government’s flagship program aimed at reducing poverty by investing in the health, nutrition, and education of children from low-income households.
