462 families evacuated in Aurora due to Tropical Cyclone Paolo

A total of 462 families, or 1,316 individuals, were displaced and sheltered in evacuation centers across four municipalities in Aurora amid tropical cyclone Paolo, the Aurora Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) reported Friday.

Evacuations, both preemptive and forced, took place in high-risk areas of Dinalungan, Dilasag, Dingalan, and Baler. Dinalungan had the highest number of evacuees with 270 families (739 individuals), followed by Dilasag with 126 families (396 individuals), Dingalan with 60 families (162 individuals), and Baler with 6 families (19 individuals).

The Department of Health prepositioned medicines and medical supplies worth PHP1.2 million to support evacuees and address potential health emergencies.

Coordination among municipal DRRMOs, police, and first responders continues to ensure prompt response to flooding, landslides, and other emergencies.

In Dilasag, authorities launched “Oplan Badilyo” and enforced forced evacuation in vulnerable areas. The Emergency Operations Center in Dingalan remains on full alert for real-time updates and coordination.
