The Bureau of Customs (BOC) welcomed representatives from AboitizPower on March 11, 2025, for a courtesy call to discuss coal importation trends and their impact on customs operations.
BOC officials, led by Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio, along with Assessment and Operations Coordinating Group Deputy Commissioner Vener S. Baquiran and Import and Assessment Service Director Blesilda N. Balagtas, engaged with AboitizPower representatives on coal valuation trends, market price data, the BOC’s assessed coal prices from various countries of origin, and the top coal importers in 2024.
