Three individuals were arrested on Recto Avenue after allegedly forging documents such as diplomas, birth certificates, and other official records, according to authorities.
The Manila Police District reported on Thursday that the suspects were apprehended on February 25 following an entrapment operation targeting individuals involved in document falsification.
Among the items recovered from the suspects were fake driver’s licenses, a board containing various forged documents, a fake diploma, several counterfeit receipts, a fake copy of a PSA birth certificate, a fake cash voucher receipt, and a rubber stamp.
The suspects, along with the evidence, were handed over to the MPD Intelligence Division for further investigation and appropriate action.
Police stated that the suspects could face charges of falsification of public documents under the Revised Penal Code.
