20 Years Later: The final 8 unaired episodes of the ‘Friends’ spinoff ‘Joey’ is finally here

Fans of the beloved sitcom Friends can finally complete their watchlists. The short-lived spinoff, Joey which followed Matt LeBlanc’s lovable character, Joey Tribbiani, has released its final eight unaired episodes, nearly two decades after the series was abruptly cancelled.

Joey premiered in 2004 just four months after Friends ended with Matt LeBlanc reprising his iconic role as the aspiring actor who relocates to Los Angeles to pursue his career. The series introduced a new cast around Joey, including his high-strung sister, Gina Tribbiani (Drea de Matteo), and her genius son, Michael (Paulo Costanzo).

The series aired for two seasons on NBC between 2004 and 2006 but unfortunately got cancelled eight episodes early by the network amid low ratings.

These unaired episodes did air in certain international markets, but they were never broadcast in the United States, depriving the U.S. based viewers of a proper conclusion. That is why this final release is such exciting news for the fandom.

The 8 unaired episodes of Joey have been released in its entirety on the official Friends YouTube channel.
