Authorities arrested two high-value individuals (HVIs) and confiscated around PHP3.4 million worth of suspected shabu in Zamboanga City on Saturday night.
Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula Assistant Director for Operations Col. Narciso Paragas reported that the suspects were caught in a buy-bust operation around 6:22 p.m. in Barangay Cabatangan.
The arrested suspects, identified by their aliases Algisno, 34, and Bossing, 36, are both residents of Country Homes Subdivision, Barangay Ayala.
“Recovered during the anti-drug operation were two plastic sachets of suspected shabu with a weight of 500 grams,” Paragas said.
Authorities also seized buy-bust money, a mobile phone, and a motorcycle during the operation. The suspects are currently detained at the Zamboanga City Police Office while awaiting the filing of charges. They will also undergo drug testing.
