LEGAZPI CITY – Two suspected drug personalities were arrested after police seized an estimated Php 1.6 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Paracale, Camarines Norte on Sunday night.

The Police Regional Office in Bicol identified the suspects only by the aliases “Juls,” 27, and “Jon,” 21.

PRO-5 said operatives confiscated two knot-tied and two heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing a total of 245.76 grams.

The suspects and the seized evidence were brought to the Paracale Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.

Police said charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against the suspects.

PRO-5 Director Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn Silvio said police would continue operations against individuals involved in the distribution of illegal drugs in the region.

“Illegal drugs have no place in our region. We will relentlessly pursue those involved in their distribution,” Silvio said.

He also urged the public to report information that could help authorities combat illegal drugs and other criminal activities.
