Team Liquid Philippines (TLPH) lives up to their title as the reigning champions of Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 15 after winning the SIBOL Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Men’s Qualifiers to earn a spot in the 33rd South East Asian (SEA) Games in Thailand.

TLPH’s championship lineup — Jungler Karl Gabriel Nepomuceno (Chessman), Gold Laner Kiel Calvin Soriano (Kiel1), Middle Laner Alston Pabico(Sanji), EXP Laner Sanford Vinuya (minn.__.ju) and Roamer Jaypee Dela Cruz (Taro Sakamoto) — defeated the Mobile Legends Development League (MDL) Philippines Season 5 grand winners ONIC x Nine Lives in a best-of-five finals series, 3-1, maintaining their clean series record.

This victory merits the Cavalry (TLPH’s moniker) the honor of selecting players from other participating teams, including Team Falcons, Aurora Gaming, and ONIC Nine Lives, for the final roster of the national esports team in the MLBB category — Team SIBOL.

Last Sunday, the MLBB women’s team of Natus Vincere (NAVI) Philippines — composed of Kaye Maerylle Alpuerto (Keishi), Sheen Cobrado Perez (SHINOA), Rica Fatima Amores (AMORE), Gwyneth Berdin Diagon (not ayanami), and Mery Christine Vivero (MERAAAY) — also won the National Team Qualifiers of Team SIBOL for the International Esports Federation (IESF) MLBB Women’s Division against TLPH in a close series in the Grand Finals, 3-2.

Once the selection phase of the final Team SIBOL roster is complete, the Philippine MLBB esports team will begin their journey at the 2025 SEA Games World Championship in Thailand, scheduled to take place from December 9 to 20. Other upcoming events they will participate in include next year’s 20th Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan, and the qualifiers tournament for the 2027 Esports Olympics in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The MLBB Men’s Phase 2 – SEA Games National Team Selection of Team SIBOL was powered by Smart Communications, Inc., organized by the Philippine Esports Organization (PESO), and partnered by Cignal, TV5, TECNO, and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).
