Drainage Rehab Begins on Laong Laan Street, Manila

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has begun drainage rehabilitation along Laong Laan Street in Sampaloc, Manila, starting Monday.

According to the DPWH-North Manila District Engineering Office, the repair works are scheduled to be completed by April 7.

The first phase of the project covers a 20-meter stretch, three meters wide, between Vicente Cruz and Miguelin Streets.

As part of the construction, one lane of Laong Laan Street will be temporarily closed, likely causing slower traffic in the area, which includes the bustling Dangwa Flower Market.

The DPWH assured the public that the affected lane will be reopened as soon as construction is completed.

This project is part of the agency’s broader efforts under the National Capital Region office to enhance road safety and improve traffic flow.
