The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported the confiscation of marijuana plants valued at about Php 10.9 million following a series of anti-drug operations in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

The operations, carried out by the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region, were conducted from March 30 to April 5 as part of intensified enforcement efforts.

Authorities said a total of 19 operations were launched, leading to the destruction of more than 54,000 fully grown marijuana plants.

The seized plants were estimated to have a standard drug value exceeding Php 10.9 million.

Police said the campaign aimed to dismantle cultivation sites and disrupt supply chains in upland areas.

PNP Chief Pltgen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. commended personnel involved, noting that the outcome reflected continued efforts to combat illegal drugs.

He said law enforcement agencies would sustain firm and coordinated actions to keep communities safe and free from illegal substances.
