Restore Solutions PH launches Smart ECO-llection Bins

Sustainability brand Restore Solutions PH, under Safewater Technologies, Inc., will launch the Smart ECO-collection Bins or SEBs together with Megaworld Corporation on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the 2F Activity Area, Venice Grand Canal Mall. These reverse vending machines, designed for waste plastic sachets, will be placed in five Megaworld malls: Eastwood Mall, Lucky Chinatown Mall, Venice Grand Canal Mall, Uptown Mall, and Newport Mall.

“We want to ensure that our Restore Boards, made from the collected sachets and plastic bags, will become the leading model prototype in constructing products that promote sustainability and disaster resilience. We envision providing a 360-degree circularity solution for our customers,” said Mr. Eric Chao, President & Founder of Safewater Technologies, Inc.

According to Chao, the Restore boards also “serve as construction materials for various products such as emergency shelters, portlets, rowboats, tables, and chairs,” among others.

“We do not only aim to provide people with sustainable emergency shelters and portlets they can use in the face of disasters but also ensure these continue to represent giving Filipinos human dignity and decency amidst adversities,” Chao added.

In line with this, the company has signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Megaworld Corporation, acting as the location partner and host for Restore’s Smart ECO-collection Bins.

Under the agreement, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls will support collection efforts by providing digital collection bins to recover clean and dry plastic sachets for the entirety of the contractual term. Both parties are committed to working together to maximize the accessibility and effectiveness of the bins, promoting plastic packaging recycling.
