Italy beat Albania in EURO 2024 match

Italy beat Albania 2 - 1 in a Group B match in the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship (EURO 2024) on Saturday.

  Nedim Bajrami stunned the Italians with his goal from the penalty area after intercepting a throw-in in the first minute at BVB Stadion Dortmund.

  Alessandro Bastoni equalized with a header on a corner kick in the 11th minute.

  Nicola Barella brought the lead to Italy with a well-placed first-time long shot in the 16th minute.

  Italian midfielder Davide Frattesi missed a chance to make it 3 - 1 as his shot was deflected by the Albanian keeper to the post in the 33rd minute.

  Albania'a Ray Manaj missed a chance to equalize as his shot went parallel to an empty Italian goal in the 90th minute.

  Young defender Mario Mitaj of Albania wasted another opportunity as his long shot missed the goal by inches in the 96th minute.

  Italy are placed second behind Spain with 3 points, while Albania are in the third spot without a point.

Meanwhile, Switzerland beat Hungary 3-1 in the Group A match of the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship (EURO 2024) on Saturday.

  Forward Kwadwo Duah drew the first blood with a calm shot in the 12th minute in his second international appearance for Switzerland at the Cologne Stadium.

With a screamer from 23 meters (75 feet), Swiss midfielder Michel Aebischer scored the second goal in the 45th minute, just before the end of the first half.

  Hungary's Barnabas Varga's missed the goal by inches with a header in the 62nd minute, but then he found the net to take one goal back with a low header in the 66th minute.

  Swiss forward Breel Embolo lobbed over Hungary goalie Peter Gulacsi to net the third goal of his team in the 93rd minute.

  Switzerland are at the second spot in Group A, behind Germany with a goal difference, while Hungary are placed third with zero points.

  Spain defeated Croatia 3-0 in the Group B clash at the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship (EURO 2024) on Saturday.

  Spanish forward Alvaro Morata netted with a low shot after breaking the offside trap in the 29th minute at  Olympiastadion.

  Just three minutes later, Spanish midfielder Fabian Ruiz scored another one with an accurate low shot, after eliminating several defenders with his good dribbling.

  Croatian defender Josko Gvardiol missed chance to score in the mouth of the goal in the 41st minute.

  Veteran Spanish defender Dani Carvajal tallied another one in the 47th minute, before the end of the first half, evaluating young star Yamine Lamal's cross.

  Rodri's challenge on Bruno Petkovic caused a penalty kick to Croatia in the 78th minute. Despite Spanish goalie Simon saved the initial penalty kick of Perkovic, he scored in the second attempt but the referee later cancelled the spot kick after a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) check and the game continued as 3-0.
