International event organizer Global-Link MP Events International Inc. announced that its CEO, Patrick-Lawrence Tan, has been elected President of the Philippine Association of Convention and Exhibition Organizers and Suppliers Inc. (PACEOS) for the 2024-2025 term.

Founded in 1981, PACEOS is a non-profit organization advancing the Philippines' meeting, incentive, convention, and exhibition (MICE) industry. The association represents a diverse membership, including event organizers and managers, venue owners, suppliers, and service providers.

Tan, who has made significant contributions to the MICE sector through Global-Link MP and TBA Philippines, expressed his gratitude for the appointment, "I am honored by the trust placed in me by my industry peers. Global-Link MP has been at the forefront of experiential marketing for over thirty years, utilizing innovative approaches, cutting-edge analytics, and exceptional services to drive client growth. I am excited to share our expertise and contribute to the continued advancement of our industry."

The newly elected PACEOS board members are Marisa Nallana of Philippine Exhibition & Trade Corp as vice president for conventions, Joel Pascual of PEPTarsus Corp as vice president for exhibitions, Agnes Pacis of SMX Convention Center as vice president for suppliers, Xiameer Valdeavilla of XMS Consultancy as secretary, Sonia Sayaman of Alta Fairs & Exhibits as treasurer and Pamela Pascual of World Trade Center Manila as chairman.

PACEOS aims to position the Philippines as a premier destination for exhibitions and conventions in Asia by enhancing industry standards and professionalism. The association collaborates closely with the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), led by Secretary Maria Esperanza Christina Garcia Frasco and COO Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles, respectively.

Secretary Frasco remarked, "The Philippines is not only equipped to host world-class conventions but also offers unparalleled pre- and post-tour experiences."

COO Nograles added, "The TPB is committed to fostering opportunities for networking, learning, and innovation in the MICE industry. Our motto, 'MICE Philippines: We Take Your Business to Heart,' reflects our dedication to integrating new ideas and technologies."

PACEOS, a founding member of the Asian Federation of Exhibition and Convention Associations (AFECA) and a co-convenor of the Tourism Promotions Board, actively participates in international MICE events to promote the Philippines as a top destination.

"I am honored to serve the industry I am passionate about," said Tan. "As PACEOS president, I will focus on valuable activities, including enhancing networking opportunities, hosting technical seminars, emphasizing world-class standards and services, participating in B2B events, and fostering continued collaboration with tourism industry leaders to shape the future of the MICE industry."

Tan concluded, "This is an exciting time for PACEOS and the MICE industry. I am thrilled to collaborate with some of the industry's most respected and innovative individuals on this board. Together with dedicated and selfless leaders, I am confident we will make significant strides in advancing industry standards. Knowledge, after all, is meant to be shared."
