Germany reaches q’finals in women’s basketball

ANKARA - Germany reached the quarterfinals in women's basketball at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Thursday.

Germany got their quarterfinal ticket after taking their second win in two matches against Japan 75-64 in Group C.

Satou Sabally shined for Germany against Japan with her 33-point contribution.

Belgium will play against the US in the other Group C game on Thursday, while Germany will face the US next on Sunday.

Australia top Group B in women's basketball at 2024 Olympics

Australia topped Group B in the women's basketball at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Thursday.

Australia defeated Canada 70-65 in Group B to achieve their first victory in the group stage.

Sami Whitcomb was the best on the field against Canada with 19 points and 10 assists.

France will face Nigeria in the other Group B game on Thursday, while Australia will take on France on Sunday.
