CALAMBA CITY – The Department of Science and Technology (DOST), through its Provincial Science and Technology Office (PSTO) in Rizal, is set to complete the installation of Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated Kiosks (STARBOOKS) in 18 public schools in Antipolo City by September.
Arthea Marie Genova, Project Technical Aide IV and Alternate Provincial STARBOOKS Focal for DOST-PSTO Rizal, said the installation process is on track, with five of the 18 schools already equipped with their STARBOOKS kiosks.
“Local government units, non-government organizations, academic institutions, and private entities can benefit from this comprehensive source of science and technology information,” Genova said in a phone interview Friday.
Genova said the collaboration between the DOST and the Department of Education - City Schools Division Office in Antipolo will enhance learning experience by creating more engaging and interactive lessons, aligned with the objectives of 21st century education.
STARBOOKS, a project of the DOST-Science and Technology Information Institute, provides access to science and technology information through kiosks strategically placed in key areas across the country.(PNA)
