MANILA – As part of the celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA), the Civil Service Commission (CSC) is set to conduct a nationwide job fair from Sept. 2 to 6.
The 2024 Government Job Fair is an onsite event that aims to provide individuals planning to pursue a career in the public sector with an avenue to interact with recruiters, exchange information on job vacancies, file applications, and submit requirements to their selected government agencies.
“The PCSA is a celebration not only of the CSC but also of all the government agencies and the 1.9 million civil servants across the nation. Through the 2024 Government Job Fair, we are opening doors to a new batch of dedicated individuals who are eager to serve the public, ensuring that we continue to attract passionate talent committed to making a positive impact in our communities and upholding the values of good governance,” CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles said in a press release on Saturday.
In collaboration with the 16 CSC regional offices, the 2024 Government Job Fair will be participated in by national government agencies, local government units, state and local universities and colleges, as well as government-owned and -controlled corporations.
The event will be hosted in various malls and civic centers in the regions to promote access to local employment and facilitate the filling up of vacant positions in the government.
Nograles also noted that the CSC encourages all interested and qualified applicants, including persons with disability and members of the indigenous communities regardless of sexual orientation and gender identities, to apply.
“This year’s job fair will take place during the first week of the PCSA celebration dubbed as Linggo ng Lingkod Bayani, highlighting the vital contributions of an effective civil service to national development. We eagerly anticipate the participation of government offices and the public as we work together to strengthen our civil service,” he added.
Nograles said the specific details regarding the venue and time of the job fair where jobseekers may participate, as well as the list of the recruiting government agencies in their respective regions, will be posted on the PCSA microsite at csc.gov.ph/pcsa2024. (PR)
