Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez leads the Cash and Rice Distribution (CARD) program to 3,000 beneficiaries at Tacloban City Astrodome Friday (AUG. 2, 2024). A joint initiative of the House of Representatives and the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the program seeks to help indigents, senior citizens, PWDs, solo parents and IPs amid rising food prices. Present during the event are 241 districts and party-list representatives led by Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio "Dong" Gonzales Jr., Majority Leader Manuel Jose"Mannix" Dalipe, Minority Leader Marcelino Libanan, Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez and other local government officials.
