In response to these incidents, the BOC has coordinated with the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) to take down the fraudulent accounts and ensure the perpetrators are held accountable.
The BOC urges everyone to remain vigilant and cautious. If you come across any suspicious accounts claiming to be the Commissioner and attempting to solicit payments, do not engage with them. Remember, your financial security is at risk.
Instead, immediately report these fake accounts to the BOC through its verified social media channels, official email, or hotline for further investigation.
