During the recent hearing of the Quad Comm on August 28, it was revealed that Senators Bato Dela Rosa and Bong Go are complicit in the various crimes committed during PRRD.
The former president used the Philippine National Police (PNP) at his beck and call to facilitate the extrajudicial killings of suspected drug personalities in the country, especially when Bato Dela Rosa was PNP Chief of Police.
Bombshell witness Col. Jovie Espenido also revealed during the August 28 Quad Comm hearing that there was a reward for each drug personality killed by the PNP. The funds for these rewards can be traced to Bong Go, funded through illegal POGO operations and the intelligence fund of PRRD.
This does not come as a surprise, considering that people connected to Duterte have no regard for human life. Back in 2019, a three-year-old girl was killed in a drug bust operation in Rizal province. In a statement, Dela Rosa said that policemen did not want to harm innocent civilians, but "shit happens."
Duterte has also not been shy to put on display his skewed principles and disregard for human life. In implementing his policy against drugs through all means necessary, he repeatedly uttered words like "kapag drug lord ka papatayin kita."
Duterte has also consistently defended the police during his administration, and despite the issues surrounding law enforcement agencies, Duterte assured that they will be protected.
