5.6 quake hits south of Panama

BEIJING, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 jolted south of Panama at 0508 GMT on Monday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said.


The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 7.41 degrees north latitude and 82.33 degrees west longitude.
